This has to be one of the single most cutest books I have ever read in my life! Every and all dog owner and lover should have this book on their shelf. The book includes dog quotes, dog facts, and other dog quirks! Plus, the added bonus of some adorable dog pictures!
Divided into themed chapters, the book can be read as a normal book would (in chapter sequence) or it can also be read based on the themes you are most interested in reading first. For example, some of the themes are: Leader of the Pack: From Wolf to Family Pet (which I read first), Doctor Dog, and Dogs of War (which I read last).
The book has some really awesome facts that I wouldn’t have known otherwise. For example: did you know that two dogs survived the Titanic? I didn’t even know there were dogs on board the Titanic! Or did you know that about 1 million dofs in the USA have been named the primary beneficiary in their owner’s will?! Who would have thought that was even possible!
One thing I think could have made this book better would have been to publish it as a coffee table book! I love to share this book with friends and family when they come over, but having it sitting on my coffee table would have been an added bonus and allowed me to leave it lying around all the time. (The book is about 4×7 inches – a little smaller than the average hardcover book.) Nonetheless, I still pull it out when family and friends come over to share with them!
*I received this book in exchange for an honest review from Thomas Allen & Sons*
