Synopsis: Twenty-two years ago Kate White wrote the bestselling career bible Why Good Girls Don’t Get Ahead but Gutsy Girls Do, and helped thousands of women push their success to the next level. Now a new generation of women, still eyeing the pay gap and glass ceiling, needs its own set of rules for today’s modern workplace.
In THE GUTSY GIRL HANDBOOK White presents the nine core principles that have guided her career, offering dozens of straightforward, doable strategies for women in any field and at any stage in their professional lives. Drawing on original research, and sharing new success stories and never-before told examples from her time as the editor-in-chief of Cosmo, White inspires women to own their excellence, break the rules (or make their own), ask for the money and opportunities they deserve, and refuse to apologize for who they are and what they want.
THE GUTSY GIRL HANDBOOK is a resource for women who want to build confidence, negotiate a great salary and perks, manage meetings, mansplaining, and interruptions, and create game-changing “notice me” ideas. This all-new, accessible handbook is a great gift for graduates, and a must-read for professional women of all levels.

Attention world!!! This is the new MUST GIVE graduation gift for ALL girls! The Gutsy Girl Handbook by Kate White speaks to every girl who wants to be a gutsy girl and is perfect for girls newly entering the work force.
This small, roughly 180 page, handbook covers a wide range of topics including, how to create a signature look, how to go after what you want, how to handle tough situations and so much more! Kate White writes in concise and organized manner to keep the reader interested and following in her manifesto of how to be a gusty girl and what a gusty girl would do.
Ultimately, this is Kate White’s guide to success in the business world. And like I mentioned, it is so perfect for new grads or any woman entering the work force as it offers advice that is so valuable for those who want to move up in the corporate world. I loved the chapter formation (each chapter title starts with: A Gusty Girl…) and the subcategories within the chapters helped to break up the text, which helped it to read like a manifesto vs. just a bricks of text of advice that can get boring and hard to read. White’s voice can easily be heard in the text and makes reading the handbook that much more enjoyable – it was like White was sitting with me and talking to me… giving me some AWESOME Gutsy Girl advice.
I am so happy I read this book and feel it has helped me to be more of a gutsy girl – I only wish I had this book a few years earlier as I feel this advice would have been so amazing when I entered the work force… but better late than never! I expect every girl to have this on her book shelf in the coming months and years!
